A free consultation

This first meeting gives you a great opportunity to meet me and ask any questions you may have, as well as give a general idea of what you would like out of your birth! We will go over dates and look over the agreement form, you will have a fews days to look it over and sleep on it if you need. I look forward to speaking with you!

Continuous Phone & Email Support

Throughout your pregnancy I will be available to answer questions and address any concerns by phone, text, or email.

2 Prenatal Visits

Now is a good time to go over a birth plan, talk about expectations, practice different birthing positions, and set up a meal train. We will also continue getting to know each other and go over some basic paperwork.

Going on call

2 weeks before your due date I will go on call. I'll be available 24/7 until you give birth.

During labor

I will provide emotional support, informational support, helping you ask the important questions for informed decision making and reminding you of whats normal. I will also provide physical support, by showing you laboring positions and using technics such as the double hip squeeze, rebozo, massage, and pressure points. I may even get the chance to snap a couple pictures on you or your partners phone if you'd like!

Baby’s first feeding Support

If you have chosen to breastfeed I will be available if needed to help you and your baby navigate the first feeding in a non-invasive manner.

2 Postpartum follow-up visits

3-5 days after birth I'll stop by to check in and review your perception of your birth, if you want we can go over your birth story or answer any questions you may have.

About a week later I'll stop by for a second postpartum visit. Now would be a great time to go over your birth, breastfeeding, baby care, and talk about going back to work or any other topic of relevance.

Postpartum Doula

Basic breastfeeding support/bottle feeding support

As a postpartum doula I am trained to offer very basic breastfeeding support. Helping with positions, help with cracked nipples or expressing milk, or if necessary refer you to a good lactation consultant. If bottle feeding I can give basic guidance on feeding technics, proper mixing and storing, and help you find a bottle that best suites your baby's needs.

Birth processing
Whether you had a "perfect" birth or a very difficult one, everyone at some point may have questions or disappointments in looking back, and I love sharing in on your joy and hearing of your accomplishments as well. I'll be there for you when you want to talk. I love hearing birth stories!

Basic household chores

Sweeping, wiping counters, bottle washing, etc. (Nothing that requires gloves) The point is to keep everything from getting out of control, and to keep stress low so you can focus on healing and loving your baby!

informational support/resources

I will be available by phone, email, or text to answer questions and address any concerns. My resources list is continuously growing and available for my clients use.

Infant care and baby wearing

I will be available to answer any questions and model any skills you may be uncertain in. e.g. bathing baby, diapers, soothing technics for a fussy baby, and recognizing hunger cues. As well as offering support and information on different baby carriers and how to use them.

Night shift (extra service)

A postpartum doula can allow family to get a more restful nights sleep, as well as check on baby through out the night.  The schedule for the night is based on the mothers wishes. If breastfeeding I can bring the baby in or wake you up when baby is ready or if bottle feeding I can of course take care of feeding baby if you want, so you can get a good nights sleep.
