My Philosophy
My Story

I knew that I wanted to be a doula since I was very young, about 15. I have always loved babies, and children. By helping women in my family, and community I discovered that supporting and encouraging mothers was something that I found great fulfillment in, that’s why I became a doula! I have found the strength of women to be much greater than even she imagined, and I have been blessed to share some really special moments in the lives of some amazing families.

I began studying right away. I read books and articles and watched videos and documentaries; all on birth related topics. I began attending Birthingway College of Midwifery when I was 17. I hope to reach out to young moms, and because I haven't had any children of my own yet I have plenty of time to invest into my clients.

In my personal time I enjoy working with horses and working in a farm setting. I spend most of my free time with family and friends, hiking, camping, crafting, painting, and making music with friends. I consider myself to be artistic and adventurous. I love trying new things!

Your birth belongs to you, and no two births are the same. Some women want to feel like warriors, some like royalty, and some desire to connect with a more instinctual side of themselves. Whether it a natural unmedicated home birth, an epidural hospital birth or something in between I will support you in that choice. However you picture your ideal birth, is how I want it to be. My hope is for you to be informed of all your choices, to feel supported both mentally and physically and to feel safe and cared for.

"I do not care what kind of birth you have... a home birth, scheduled cesarean, epidural hospital birth, or if you birth alone in the woods next to a baby deer.
I care that you had options, that you were supported in your choices, and that you were respected."
